Sahel Kouhi

Sahel is a Tulsa native whose love for her hometown deepened after she moved back following her graduation from the University of Oklahoma. It took leaving Tulsa for Norman and then returning to truly appreciate all that her city has to offer. She earned her degree in Health and Exercise Science from OU and soon found herself drawn to work that connects people to place and opportunity.
Before joining Early Career Programs, Sahel spent three years at Tulsa Remote working in recruitment and communications. She interviewed remote workers from across the country, facilitated visits to help them determine if Tulsa was the right fit, and managed operational systems and data. Through this work, she saw firsthand how the right opportunity can transform someone’s trajectory, and that experience now fuels her passion for creating pathways for students.
As the Operations Manager for Early Career Programs, Sahel oversees the systems, budgets, and behind-the-scenes operations that keep Campus Tulsa and Tulsa Service Year running smoothly. From housing coordination and stipend disbursement to fellow onboarding and employer partnerships, she ensures participants feel supported throughout their journey.
