Founding Intern Engagement Coordinator

Lafonzo is a recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Lafonzo graduated from the University in May 2021 with a Bachelors's degree in Public Relations. During his time at the university, Lafonzo learned the importance of service, leadership, and giving back to their university community.

Involvement was their greatest experience throughout college, getting the opportunity to be involved in a variety of organizations. They have served as the Executive Chair of Campus Activities Council, OU's largest student programming organization responsible for programming approximately 80 events for over 80,000 attendees throughout the year. They were also The Damphousse Intern for President's Community Scholars, a service-basedleadership organization; Vice President of Alumni Engagement for the Student Alumni Board, working to bridge the gap between current students and alumni; The official emcee for Camp Crimson, OU's freshman orientation program; Campus Tour Guide with OU's Admissions & Recruitment; working with Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communications as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant & an Undergraduate research fellow.

Prior to becoming Campus Tulsa's Founding Intern Engagement Coordinator Lafonzo worked in a variety of different internships to grow in all things Public Relations, marketing, & advertising. They have worked with Brides of Oklahoma, Mastermind Marketing, Thrive Oklahoma, & The Universityof Oklahoma's Office of Career Services working on everything from graphic design, social media marketing, digital advertising, and strategy.

In their free time, you can almost always find Lafonzo playing with their rescue pup Basil. They'll also probably be shopping for the latest fashion pieces to grow their already massive closet.
